The Armenian Parliament has stripped Seyran Ohanyan, the parliamentary leader of Armenia’s largest opposition faction and a former minister of defence, of his parliamentary immunity. Armenian government U-turns on expelling opposition MPs

The ruling Civil Contract Party has backed down from a decision to begin stripping all but three opposition MPs of their seats over their ‘unjustified absences’ from parliament. In protests held during the Russian Foreign Minister’s meeting with his Armenian counterpart, opposition leaders insisted any agreement with the current authorities was ‘null and void’. Protesters clash with Police outside Armenian PM’s residence

Police and protesters have clashed in the Armenian capital Yerevan as anti-government protesters besieged the residence of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. On Friday evening, police deployed stun grenades and batons to disperse protesters gathered near the PM’s residence, making several arrests. Police confront protesters as thousands take to the streets in Yerevan

Armenian Police have used force to prevent protesters from blocking streets in Yerevan, with over 200 detained so far. Over 10,000 people gathered at the capital’s France Square on Sunday to demand Pashinyan’s resignation. Armenia opposition aides claim they were ‘attacked’ by ruling party MPs

Three aides to opposition MPs claimed to have been physically assaulted by the ruling party’s MPs and their staffers in the office of a deputy speaker of parliament.
