Armenia to implement criminal justice cooperation agreement with EU

Armenia and EU launch visa liberalisation talks

Armenia and the European Union have launched visa liberalisation talks, with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stating that discussions about an eventual membership bid were also ‘underway’. EU to move towards visa liberalisation for Armenia

The European Union is reportedly moving to advance its relationship with Armenia by laying out an action plan for visa liberalisation. RFE/RL have reported that in the coming months, the EU intends to develop an action plan for visa liberalisation dialogue with the Armenian Government. Russia criticises Armenia’s participation in NATO summit

EU ‘to approve’ €10 million non-lethal military aid for Armenia

Armenia will receive €10 million ($11 million) in non-lethal military aid from the EU after Hungary withdrew its objections, reportedly in exchange for providing equal funds to Azerbaijan for demining. Armenia may hold referendum on EU membership ‘in near future’

Weekend of clashes follows Pashinyan-Blinken-von der Leyen meeting
