Ingushetia disability care home accused of chaining naked patients to benches

Images have appeared online purportedly showing patients being abused at an Ingush care home for people with intellectual disabilities.  Images shared by Russian Telegram channel Baza [WARNING: DISTURBING IMAGERY] showed naked patients shackled to benches and to the wall in an empty tiled room. Prison riot in Vladikavkaz over alleged torture

A prison riot has taken place at a penal colony in the North Ossetian capital, Vladikavkaz, over the alleged torture of prisoners. The Russian Federal Penitentiary Service stated that the protests on 15 October were suppressed on the same day, with a number of inmates transferred to penitentiary institutions in other regions. The European Court for Human Rights (ECHR) has found the Russian state responsible for the disappearance and death of a Chechen man following his detention by security forces. The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ordered Russia to pay compensation for the torture of 13 men from the North Caucasus between 2004–2006. An exorcist facing weapons charges in Daghestan has claimed that he was abducted and tortured into confessing. Journalists in Azerbaijan have published photographs depicting what they claim is the torture of detainees in a police station in Baku.
