Ethnic Georgians living in Abkhazia and South Ossetia won’t be able to vote in Georgian parliamentary elections scheduled for 31 October. The ruling United Ossetia Party has lost their majority in South Ossetia’s parliament, winning just 14 of 34 seats. Official results were published on Wednesday evening with 100% of votes counted. Authorities in South Ossetia have linked Archil Tatunashvili, a Georgian citizen who died in custody in Tskhinvali (Tskhinval) last week, to a homemade bomb they say they found in Akhalgori (Leningor).
